Kid Friendly Places to Visit
The Menara Taming Sari is just 5 mins walk from the hotel. It revolves and gives you a bird's eye view of the entire city. If you need help for a short-cut, feel free to ask any one of our team members at the lobby.
Located behind the revolving tower are the A'Famosa & St Paul's Hill. The walk up the hill could break you a sweat but it's an ideal place to capture amazing pictures of the ruins left behind by the Portuguese. The area is also vehicle free so it's safe for everyone!
All within walking distance, with no traffic, The Stadhuys and Jonker Street are just down the path. Along the way, there's a playground for the kids, a shaded resting area, shops to buy souvenirs and light refreshments, museums, a public pool and even restaurants!
Jonker Street- a lively street with lots of restaurants and local hawker food including the famous Chicken Rice Ball, 'Nyonya Cendol', 'Nyonya Laksa' and so much more. There are many rare finds waiting to be discovered by you; from antiques to toys to accessories and more.
What other way to explore the area? There shops along Jonker Street that do bicycle rental or else you could hop onto the trishaws available at the entrance or at the Stadhuys. Alternatively, you get onto the Melaka River Cruise. We recommend the night cruise as the area along the river lights up, perfect for photo-taking and to end the day.

There are 2 major malls located just across the road from Holiday Inn Melaka that operate from 10am - 10pm daily:

- Mahkota Parade
